Foreverwild Launches New British Wildlife Pin Badges – Supporting Red Squirrels, Otters & Hedgehogs

At foreverwild, our mission has always been simple: to celebrate the beauty of nature and protect the incredible creatures we share it with. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new collection of British wildlife pin badges – our first new set in three years. This exciting release champions three much-loved native species: the Red Squirrel, the Eurasian Otter, and the British Hedgehog. With their arrival, foreverwild has grown the number of causes we support from 12 to 15, making this a milestone moment in our journey.

Why These Species?

Each of these animals represents a vital part of the UK’s natural heritage – but they also face serious challenges.

  • Red Squirrel: Once common across the country, red squirrels are now confined mainly to Scotland and small parts of England and Wales, pushed out by the spread of grey squirrels and habitat loss. By supporting red squirrel charities, we’re helping to fund vital conservation projects that protect their fragile populations.

  • Eurasian Otter: Otters are a true conservation success story in the UK. Once driven to the brink of extinction, they’ve made an inspiring comeback thanks to cleaner waterways and tireless conservation work. But threats remain – from pollution to habitat destruction – and support is still needed to ensure they continue to thrive.

  • British Hedgehog: The hedgehog is one of the UK’s most beloved wild animals, but their numbers have halved in rural areas since the year 2000. Fragmented habitats, road traffic, and loss of food sources have all taken a toll. By backing hedgehog charities, we can help restore habitats and protect this much-loved garden visitor.

Supporting Charities Close to Home

This new collection holds a special place in our hearts because it supports conservation charities right here in the UK – the home of foreverwild. Every pin badge sold contributes directly to organisations working tirelessly on the ground, whether that’s building safe crossings for hedgehogs, restoring woodland for squirrels, or protecting rivers for otters.

As with all our collections, profits from these pin badges will go directly to the charities that work directly with these species. We believe that small steps can add up to big change, and with your support, we can help safeguard the future of these treasured animals.

Our First New Collection in Three Years

It’s been three years since our last new set of pin badges, and this launch feels like a celebration. Each badge has been carefully designed to capture the character of these incredible species, serving as both a stylish accessory and a symbol of your support for wildlife. Adding these three species to our collection brings the total number of causes foreverwild supports to 15 – a testament to the growing community of people who care about protecting our planet’s biodiversity.
